New tunes from the Dirty River Boys

Posted on

If Mumford and Sons were less melodramatic and more Texan, they’d be the Dirty River Boys. I’ve been a fan of these guys since they were a local band and I could see them at a dive for $2 cover. This is a much poppier sounding song than some of their earlier work, but I’m sure it’s a barn burner live.

Here’s the song, Thought I’d Let You Know, at Country Weekly. You’ll have to put up with some obnoxious ads, which is the sort of b.s. move you can expect from a periodical that lauds Blake Shelton on the cover.

And seriously, these guys rip it up live. Try and see them if you can. It’s just a frenzy of good music.
