I really like When In Rome’s original version of this song. I’ve got a deep seated love for those old synth pop songs. I’m even happier that this is the second single of Sturgill Simpson’s new album. As great as the original is, Simpson brings a really powerful performance to his cover that has all the bravado and tenderness of a prime Waylon cut. (via NPR)
